Give recurring costs their own line
Estimate coffee, milk or alternatives if used, filters where relevant, and cleaning or maintenance supplies specified for your equipment. Use your own prices and consumption. A simple worksheet is enough:
Initial total = equipment + missing essentials + delivery + tax
Monthly estimate = coffee + milk + other consumables + maintenance allowance
If you compare home coffee with café spending, count the purchases you realistically expect to replace. A new hobby can add spending as well as displace it, and occasional café visits may still be part of the routine you enjoy.
Buy in stages
Make the basic routine comfortable first. Keep an optional purchase only if you can name the problem it solves: an inconvenient refill, a crowded preparation area, or an item with no storage home. That gives every later upgrade a useful job.
